Trauma-Informed and Relational Therapy
for Individuals, Couples, and Families
Welcome...
Sometimes it can feel like we are lost or 'losing it'. We might feel emptiness, loneliness, or hopelessness in relationships with others. We may feel overwhelmed by the fears - and hopes - of parenting. Wouldn't it be great to discover ways to see our own and others' strengths? And to find ways to tap into those strengths when things seem to be too much? Therapy is not linear, one-size-fits-all, or magic. I wish I could tell you the "3 steps to perfection and never feeling bad", or "the one trick so you'll never argue with your partner", or "do this and your child won't roll their eyes at you". I can't. What I can offer is a safe, nonjudgmental space to discover or rediscover the strengths you possess right now that can help you move toward change and growth; a space to seek deeper understanding of the obstacles to that change and growth.
My practice is nonpathologizing, competency-focused, queer-friendly, nonjudgmental, collaborative, and compassionate. The theoretical approaches and modalities that inform my work with clients include: Adaptive Internal Relational (AIR) Network, Attachment Theory, Developmental Psychology, Family Systems Theory, Relational Therapy, Experiential Therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, Gottman Method (Level 1 Training).
I accept private-pay only. This means I am out-of-network with all insurance companies, and can provide a Superbill for clients to submit to their insurance carrier for applicable out-of-network benefits. Please consult your insurance carrier regarding out-of-network coverage.
I offer telehealth or in-person sessions. In-person sessions take place at my office located at 3250 Rice Street, Little Canada, MN.
